Grid Connected PV System:
Solar Panels are connected to the utility grid through an MPP tracking Inverter. Generally grid connected PV Systems offer pay-back guarantee within few years,as these systems seldom use batteries and are widely used from KW to MW Installations. The Picture interprets the working of the system where the solar panels producing Direct Current (DC) are converted to grid acceptable Alternating Current (AC) by I the solar Inverter, which in turn supplies AC to the loads connected. Apart from the load requirement any excess in PV Production is pushed to the grid through the Meter.”
Stand Aone PV System:
Like the name suggests unlike Grid-Connected systems, these systems does not depend on the grid. The System can work anytime of the day, since batteries are provided to store current produced from the PV System. With high cost fronts these systems are limited to only KW Installation scale level.
